Photo Recognition Software Gives Location
Software:
You are lost in a foreign city, you don't speak the language and you are late for your meeting. What do you do? Take out your cellphone, photograph the nearest building and press send. For a small fee, photo recognition software on a remote server works out precisely where you are, and sends back directions that will get you to your destination.
Full story from New Scientist.
Q&A: Does it work anywhere? No. Can I use it now? No
Because it is just in the research phase. But it will work at last, becasue there is money in it!

2 Software For Digital Photography
Software/photography:
> a Free Noise Remover ( Helicon Noise Filter):889KB
> An Exif Viewer ( Exif Image Viewer):469KB
(EXIF viewer is a simple image viewer application for photos taken with digital cameras. It's capable of reading EXIF information embedded in photos as well as little thumbnail. Because small thumbnail is already present in most photos displaying it is really fast. EXIF viewer can also provide detailed information about photos (shutter speed, aperture, etc.) and conveniently list them for comparison purposes.EXIF viewer also displays image histogram. It also features copying/moving and deleting of selected photos.Single photograph can be displayed in separate window or in a full screen mode.)

Cinema:
Last night I watched this master piece: Empire of the Sun (1997) from Steven Spielberg. I was wondering that why I haven't seen this film before. A story of an English boy who had to survive under the occupation of Japanese during the WWII. These Japs were bastards and cruel without any mercy in the movie. I think the limit in its distribution was because of this picture of Japs in the movie.
If you can find it, I recommend you to watch. It worth trying.

Games:
Far Cry. May be the best frist person shooter I have ever played. Despite adjusting every graphic setting to low, it is fantastic. Good graphic and more good AI for enemies. They even have team play. I play in normal difficulty, but it is still difficult. After finishing it, I'll keep it until I upgrade my computer, then play it again and again!

The Arrival of Generation X into Medicine
Health:
Researchers found that doctors who spent at least three hours a week playing video games made about 37 percent fewer mistakes in laparoscopic surgery and performed the task 27 percent faster than their counterparts who did not play video games.
Nema, it was better for you to become a surgeon, then you would have the least errors among the surgeons. You could do the laparoscopy as smooth as you play Collin McRae Ralley!

Keep Toddlers Away From TV
Health:
Researchers have found that every hour preschoolers watch television each day boosts their chances by about 10 percent of developing attention deficit problems later in life. Other studies have shown it to be associated with obesity and aggressiveness too.
Ok, may be this is the raeson that my IQ is not about 180! because I watched too much TV when I was a little kid!
