No subject:
Tomorrow is Persian new year. But I don't have any sense for celebrating. I am in the departmnet and I have to stay until 6 o'clock like all days and then I and my wife have to go for buying our grocery from different places. Meat from a special place and others from ordinary stores. And then calling like hundreds of people for saying congratulations. This year the number of calls are reduced. My grandma and two respectful ladies whom I used to call died unfortunately last year. I wonder why no one calls us except for my parents. This morning I sent like a hundred emails to friends and relatives, too. I saw emails addresses of three of my friends who died in a car accident too, I haven't deleted them yet. What a loss. Last year I sent emails to them too they were happy living with their families but this year, they are gone.
We tried to prepare the " 7-seen table" but no way. We were unsuccessful. The " sabzi" we made is now like trees not green nice vegetables and not like what you see in the picture!
I hope that it wouldn't be like the persian proverb: "Sali ke nekoost az baharash peydast". The casual English translation is: The good year is apparent from the beginning (Spring)!
I hope for a very good year for all Iranians and those who celebrate Eid accross the globe.
Eid e Shoma Mobarak!

Health:
Health-care workers may soon be equipped with the hands of death, but patients needn't be concerned. In fact, they should be pleased. A new kind of disposable glove emits a gas harmless to humans but deadly to bacteria and viruses. The gloves' magic ingredient is chlorine dioxide, a gas commonly used in water purification. The gas's main talent lies in its ability to wipe out any bug that crosses its path.

Scanning a Page with a Pen in Just 4 Seconds
Technology:
The DocuPen is different from other pen scanners in that it scans a FULL PAGE width and therefore scans the entire page including text and graphics in just 4 seconds. Other pen scanners only scan single lines of text or records handwriting and cannot scan graphics making them much less practical.
